FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

A vehicle pursuit initiated by officers with the Port St. Lucie Police Department resulted in the seizure of illegal narcotics and the arrest of a suspect on multiple charges late Friday night on the 27th of March.

At approximately 9:30pm, officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Black Sultan for a brake light out. The driver failed to yield, leading officers on a pursuit through residental areas. The pursuit continued for approximately twenty five minutes before the vehicle came to a stop near a car dealership.

The driver, identified as Harold Medlock, 87, attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended by officers without further incident.

During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered a significant quantity of suspected illegal narcotics, including:

Methamphetamine
Cocaine
Fentanyl
Marijuana

Officers also recovered weapons, and cash.

The suspect was taken into custody and charged with:

Felony Fleeing
Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver
Possession of Firearms as a convicted felon
And many more

Harold Medlock was transported to the County Jail and is currently being held on a bond of $50,000.
